The Waynesville 5K Walk/Run/Stroll/Dog-Walk is a fun, family-friendly event designed to bring the community together while kicking off the annual Waynesville Hometown Expo on March 28. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a relaxing stroll with friends (or your dog), this event welcomes participants of all fitness levels.
The scenic route winds through charming Waynesville, giving participants the chance to enjoy fresh air, great company, and a healthy start to the day. Leashed dogs are welcome, making it a perfect outing for the whole family. Participants will also receive race swag, including a commemorative race T-shirt and goodies.
This year, the Waynesville 5K is proud to partner with Blood Cancer United’s Student Visionaries program, supporting the mission to raise awareness and funds in the fight against blood cancers. By participating, runners and walkers are not only enjoying a great community event, they are also helping support an important cause.
The race begins and ends at the Waynesville Hometown Expo, where the celebration continues from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM inside the Waynesville Middle School gymnasium. After crossing the finish line, participants are invited to stay, explore local businesses, join and educational class, enjoy giveaways, and connect with the community.
Lace up your shoes, bring a friend (and your pup), and be part of a morning filled with energy, community spirit, and purpose.
